How this directory handles information

A review collects the display name, email address, star rating, title, experience date and account you enter. The application also records when it was submitted and its moderation status. If approved, the display name, rating, title, dates and account become public.

The email address is stored privately for moderation, duplicate checks, administration and requests about the review. A salted hash of the email supports the one-review-per-company limit. Public review responses contain neither the email address nor that hash.

Directory forms collect the name, email and message supplied, plus a company or review reference when relevant. The application records the submission time and handling status. These records are stored in a private inbox available to authorized administrators.

A confirmation means the directory saved the submission. It does not automatically send an email, notify the listed company, make a reservation or start a refund request. Keep account credentials, identity documents and full payment details out of these forms.

Cloudflare supplies the hosting, database and security infrastructure used by the directory. Delivering pages and maintaining security may involve IP addresses, request information and operational logs processed by that provider.

The application creates a salted hash from network information and a time window to limit repeated submissions. The limit record contains that identifier, a count and an expiry. Expired entries are removed when the limiter next runs. Raw IP addresses are not stored as part of public review records.

Browsing does not require a reader account. An authorized administrator receives a secure, HTTP-only session cookie after signing in; its lifetime is eight hours. Necessary protection provided by the host can involve its own security mechanisms and cookies.

The directory currently has no advertising-network integrations or marketing analytics. Information entered in its forms is not sold or shared for targeted advertising. Operational records used to deliver and secure the service are separate from advertising measurement.

Following a company, social-network or review-platform link takes you to another provider, whose privacy practices apply there. Telephone and email links open the relevant application on your device. This directory does not record calls or receive the messages you send directly through a company's own channels.

A Google Maps link opens Google's service, covered by https://policies.google.com/privacy. Reviews you read on an outside platform remain separate from reviews submitted to this directory.

Published reviews remain available until removed. Private messages, submission details and moderation records are retained as needed to operate the directory, handle requests, address misuse and meet applicable obligations. The application has no automatic fixed deletion schedule for these records.

To request access, correction or deletion, write to booked@heronjunction.com and identify the submission concerned. We may verify your relationship to the information using proportionate details. Rights, exceptions and response requirements depend on the law that applies to the request.

The directory is intended for adults. Do not submit personal information about children. Tell the publisher if you believe a contribution or message contains such information.

We may revise this notice when directory features or information practices change. The revision date on this page identifies the current version.
